Weekly Business Sales Quote by British Writer

“Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience.”

– Victoria Holt (1906–1993), British writer

Everyday we’re learning something in life, whether it’s new tip or trick, or learning something new about someone else, we are always absorbing knowledge, even if we try not to, its just natural and a constant learning curve, if you master something, we still want to learn more and be even better it’s about self improvement and becoming a student of life.

Same applies in business, in business your always learning something new. Since I started business, I have learnt a whole lot of things that no collage nor university could have taught me, and its challenged me to come out of my shell, and move forward step by step. Of course as usual things do not always go smooth as expected, but one thing for sure never regret, just like the British writer has said, if its something good, its great, and look into how you can improve from that and really become a master, and on the other hand, if things have not gone down as well, never mind, attest you have gained experience, and learnt something new.

Sometimes when speaking to colleagues or business owners, they at times mention “only if we didn’t make that one silly move” or “only if things went this way” but what they do not realize because of those decisions that cost them back in the early days, has made them what they are today. It’s because of what they learnt from those mistakes it’s made them that extra smarter, wiser and leaders in their trade.

If you look at many major companies and brands, they all didn’t become global companies over night, most of them had humble beginnings, and it was try and test atmosphere, they never gave up, and nor did they regret anything.

Just an example of KFC, the founder Harland Sanders kept on trying and experimenting different recipes but it wasn’t until 1940 when he was at the age of 50, that the perfect recipe was invented that the business is so famous for till today. One thing he did was he kept making mistakes, which he was not afraid of, but improving and learning every time, and in his autobiography he states

“Life as I have known it has been finger lickin’ good, No hours, nor amount of labor, nor amount of money would deter me from giving the best that was in me”

What ever the case may be, don’t feel sorry for your self, take it as a learning curve, and become that extra better.

Quick  Note
For the next 3 weeks there will be no weekly quotes, as I am on vacation, and will have limited access to the Internet.

Have a great weekend.
