“The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns; the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious of the rose.”
–Kahlil Gibran (1883–1931)
Lebanese writer and philosopher
In business you have to look at the bigger picture, at times you will have deadlines to meet, customers to please, and listen to your employees. You being a leader have to look at both sides of the situation, but always consider the bright side, but also consider and scale up the negative side, what IF something was to happen, as at the end of the day you will have no one else to blame besides yourself.
Now being optimistic in business is perfect as your always looking at the bright side, and appreciating things as they come along. This will not just help you in management but overall you will feel better and your tasks and your day will run smoothly.
5 benefits of being optimistic:
– Good Health
– Less Stress
– You feel satisfied and content
– It creates a positive attitude
– Overall others will look at you as a better person
On the other hand being pessimist in business, is not that bad , but not something that you should act on and practice consistently, if you have a negative attitude all the time, so will your team and your company will suffer, always try to look at the bright side of things and approach things positively, even if the day is not going your way, as at the end, it all works out well…. 🙂 Trust me there’s always happy ending, if not today, tomorrow.
Sir Winston Churchill states ‘A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.’
