“I’m a great believer in life in saying yes and not saying no… and hopefully making people smile.”

–Richard Branson
English entrepreneur, chairman of Virgin Group

Having a positive attitude in business will help a lot, and go a long way. Every time you’re  faced with an objection or a requirement of a client, and if you turn around and say “yes no problem” that will make your client feel better, and also make you think of ways of how you can over come these objections and meet clients requirements exactly how they want it.

In business it’s all about keeping your customers happy, at the end of the day, if you don’t have customers, you don’t have a business, so keeping them happy and making them smile, will always work in your favor. Going the extra mile to help your customers achieving what they are looking for will not just build your business credibility, but also make you more approachable by others, and others want to do business with you.

When I first started doing business at the age of 16 selling herbal products, I was told its all about the attitude and the positive vibe that you have, customers like doing business with people, if you’re a jolly and helpful person, then they will come to you for repeat business, rather then your competitors, even if your prices are slightly higher. I was told to say “no problem” to every question and objection, which worked very well, as the customer got what they wanted, and I got to learn new things and got new happy customers everyday out of it, I still use this approach till today.

This attitude does not just apply to business, but to everyone, having a useful and helpful character in our day to day lives, will bring smiles to many and imagine how wonderful would the world be if we all remembered we want to be useful?
