Reconsideration request to Google
When sending a reconsideration request to Google, what Google wants to see, is that you have made a genuine attempt to solve the problem, which may have caused your site to be de ranked. If you can explain what you did.
Scenario: If your website has been De Ranked due to bad links.
First place to check would be Google Webmaster tools, and then you could, put the links onto a spreadsheet, and aim to contact each one to either update or remove the links, noting down, the date and time, and also the details of the response received. Even if no response was received mention this on the excel document. Once you have made an attempt to solve the issue, send the details to Google, you could even go a step further and take screen shots, as for some websites this has worked, and solved the problem.

Search engines are giving more and more importance to social signals, Google with Google Plus, and Bing taking signals from twitter and Facebook, such as number of shares, and likes, also the speed that it is being shared online.
Brands are related to feelings, it’s not what you say, but instead what they (your customers) say, when we buy a particular product of a brand, it’s based on stored memories (recommendations, past experience, how we feel about the company), when building a brand, we want to build a wow factor, and make others want to do business with us. A logo of a company is the first image that gets stored in customers minds, hence the importance of building a good, strong logo, also keeping in mind that the logo will work for all the products that the company offers, a perfect example is Virgin Group.

Search engines are starting to extract more and more information using Microformat and schema codes, and displaying them in search results. When developing websites, ensure that your developer uses Microformats or schema in the HTML coding.

The pages on your website that Google indexes or spends time to crawl, can be quite a task to find out, one of the ways you can check what pages are being crawled, is by accessing the server logs on your server, and extracting information from there.
If found Google in not spending time efficiently on your site, than you can make changes accordingly such as:
- Changing internal linking structure
- Look into your Robot.txt file
- Alter the URL structure

One of the best way to find the right person is to do your research on social networking sites, and from the beginning to always ask for a followed link when you ask to link back to your site.
When asking for a link back you can phrase the email or communication in this way, which may seem more appealing: ” Could you accredit us with a link…?”
One of the best ways of communicating and re-requesting a link is by getting onto the phone, and speaking directly to the other party, and any form of response, is a good response, as you can build from it and follow it up, even though the initial response was negative.
