Well, you won’t have to worry about that anymore. Here are some easy tips and guide on how to use Joomla for your own website.
To use Joomla, you would need a web server or host that can be able to run the PHP, or the Hypertext PreProcessor, which allows you to create your own webpage. Most servers will be able to do so, an example of which would be HostGator. After doing so, you would have to install Joomla into your server. If you are getting lost at this point, there are tutorials available on the world wide web that can guide you, and you can have help from your hosting company as well.
Now you can start designing your website. To do so, you would need to have a general design of how your webpage is going to look like, where the text and images are going to be placed and how the visitors of your website will see its content. Joomla has templates which are very easy to use and can serve as the central layout for your website. You can choose from the 500 different templates that Joomla has for you. If you would want to create your own design, Joomla has a template maker software to guide you in doing so.
To use one of these templates, go to your Joomla administrative interface, go to Extensions -> Install/Uninstall -> Upload Package File to choose whatever template design you would want and then click on Upload File & Install. By following these step-by-step guidelines, you have now chosen your default webpage design or template for your website.
